What is Shani Sade Sati in Vedic Astrology?

In Vedic astrology, Sade Sati refers to the seven-and-a-half-year period during which Saturn (Shani Dev) transits through the 12th house from the natal Moon, the sign containing the natal Moon, and the 2nd house from the natal Moon. Because Saturn spends approximately 2.5 years in each zodiac sign, transiting three consecutive signs takes around 7.5 years.

The Three Phases of Sade Sati

1. First Phase (Rising / Aardha): Saturn moves into the 12th sign from your Moon. Focus shifts to financial management, foreign travel, sleep cycles, and inner spiritual contemplation.
